FEIS FESTIVAL
Despite the frequent splatterings of rain, Feis Festival 2011 certainly proved itself as London's premier park event. Two stages housed some of the best acts in Irish and world music whilst a crowd of mostly Irish revellers drank and partied throughout the day. The main stage hosted some spectacular acts, including the otherworldly Bob Dylan, who contrary to expectations knocked out an undeniable set of his classics, Van Morrison, Martin Carthy and The Cranberries.
Saturday found Shane Mcgowan and his band gracing the tent. Despite his diminished appearance, the poet-punk still managed to give a rabble rousing performance, playing high octane renditions of Dirty Old Town and If I should Fall From Grace With God.
With a variety of food tents and plenty of booze, the day was definitely a success. Bring on 2012!
